Abstract


TEACHİNG PRACTİCE OF PEDAGOGİCAL FORMATİON EDUCATİON AREA PHYSİCAL EDUCATİON TEACHERS’ PERCEPTİONS OF COURSE ASSESSMENT

In teacher training, teaching practice course is of great importance in terms of transforming the basic knowledge of pre-service teachers into practice. In this sense, the beginning and the most important process of teaching profession is teaching practice. University and school cooperation must be established for this process to work in a balanced way. Therefore, the behavior and attitudes of physical education teacher and practice instructor are very important in the training and development of prospective teachers. The aim of this study is to reveal the opinions of physical education teachers about teaching practice lesson. In the research, physical education teacher candidates who received pedagogical formation training; it is tried to determine what is his / her views about teaching practice course. In the study, open-ended questions developed by the researcher as a data collection tool were presented to the candidates of physical education teachers who received pedagogical formation training. In the study, the data obtained from 20 candidates for physical education teachers who studied at the University of Gaziantep and received pedagogical formation training were analyzed using the content analysis method. As a result of the research, candidates for physical education teachers who have received pedagogy formation training stated that the teaching practice course is a necessary and important course for the candidate teachers. The prospective teachers stated that they experienced difficulties due to the lack of equipment and physical environment conditions in the schools they went to practice, and in general, they expressed that they developed themselves positively and could communicate effectively with the students. Furthermore, it was concluded that the teaching group of the research group, should be given two semesters and that the university and practice schools should work together in order to be more productive.
