Abstract


THE NECESSITY OF STUDIO MUSICIANARY COURSE IN CONSERVATORIES (EXAMPLE OF GAZİANTEP UNIVERSITY)

In this study, it is aimed to examine the necessity of a course on studio musician at Gaziantep University Turkish Music State Conservatory. For this purpose, the questionnaire, which was prepared by researchers and passed the approval of three experts, was presented to 13 lecturers from Gaziantep University Turkish Music State Conservatory. Data were obtained by applying content analysis to the opinions reached from the lecturers. Based on these data, a questionnaire was prepared. The survey was applied to students studying in the Basic Sciences and Voice Education Departments. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that vocational instrument or vocal education lessons do not meet the need for studio music, that the course for studio music is deemed necessary by the students and faculty members, and a course for studio music will contribute positively to the students' performance. In addition, it is concluded that it will be beneficial to provide training on sound recording technologies within the scope of this course.
