Abstract


OPİNİONS OF SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS FROM VARİOUS DEPARTMENTS ABOUT ONLİNE EDUCATİON PLATFORMS

This study aimed to determine the level of using educational online platforms according to departments of secondary school teachers, the purpose of using them and the reasons for these preferences. This study was conducted in qualitative descriptive approach. The study group consisted of 30 secondary school teachers from 6 different departments selected by maximum diversity sampling method. The data was collected using a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers and analyzed with descriptive data analysis method. The results showed that majority used smart boards in their lessons, found educational platforms beneficial and used them for documents. Also, the participants stated that educational platforms should have rich, up-to-date and remarkable content, defined the most efficient resources as videos and visuals and the least preferred as written and interactive activities. It is recommended to diversify the documents and content in the platforms, to encourage teachers to upload documents and to make the platforms free.
