Abstract


THE OPINIONS OF TEACHERS WHO WORK AS THE PRINCIPAL AUTHORIZED TEACHERS ON THIS APPLICATION

The aim of this research is to reveal the opinions of principal authorızed teachers about this practice. The current research has been carried out with phenomenology design, which is one of the qualitative research approach designs. The study group of this research has been created using the maximum diversity technique, one of the purposeful sampling methods. In this context, the researchers have worked with 12 participants who have been hired as principal teachers in Niğde, Amasya, Muş, Bingöl, Erzurum, Ankara, Diyarbakır, Manisa, Şanlıurfa, Kahramanmaraş, and Ağrı, or who have previously held this position. A semi-structured interview form consisting of 10 questions has been used as a data collection tool in this research. The gathered data has been analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. Accordingly, the researchers have found that the participants focused more on the negative aspects of being principal teacher. The most important conclusion reached from the findings is that the principal teacher education is handled as a whole in terms of administration-education process-student; the problem arising from any of these affects the others negatively.
