Pasha's birth date is not known exactly; It is estimated that he was born around 1488s, since he was a palace official who should have been at least twenty years old in 1508. While the date of death is given as 1563 in one source, it is stated that he died on April 1564 in another source. In his own work, Lütfi Pasha states that he was taken "Harem-i Hâss" in his childhood, during the time of Bayezid II, and he was educated there for many years. When Yavuz Sultan Selim Han came to the throne, he was assigned to the provinces first with the Çuhadarship and then as Mutefferrika with a fee of fifty coins. Later, he was assigned in the positions of Çaşnigir-headpiece, Kapucu-başilm, Mîr-âlemlik, respectively. Later he was brought to Kastamonu sanjak, Karaman Beylerbeyliği, Anadolu Beylerbeyliği. He became the vizier and finally the grand vizier during the time of Kanunî Sultan Süleyman. Lütfi Pasha, who was a versatile person, wrote his work titled "Asaf-nama" (Advice to the Statesmen) as a result of the experiences he gained due to his administrative duties at various levels. Lütfi Pasha was also commander. Again, according to his own statement, he participated in many wars and directed some of them personally ((Lütfi Pasha, 1341: 1-3). Lütfi Pasha's predominant aspect is his statesmanship. He has a work titled "Tevârih-i Âl-i Osman" (Atik, 2001: 5), which tells about history, the events that passed from the establishment of the Ottoman Empire to the year 961/1553 in a short and plain style. There are nineteen more works belonging to religious sciences besides Osman '' and `` saf-nama. '' Eight of his works are in Turkish and 13 are in Arabic. One of these works is "Risale-i Sual ve Cevab" (Sual and Answered İlm-i Hal). The ilm-i hal, which is the combination of the words ilm and hal, means "behavioral knowledge". It can be defined as the term "handbook that contains concise information about belief, worship, muâmelât (daily life), moral issues, sometimes great prophets, the life of the Prophet H.z". Since state means behavior, attitude, attitude, it briefly means "state knowledge". In other words, it can be said that information about how to take an attitude in the face of daily events. The Catechism has an important place in fiqh literature and our religious tradition because they have succinctly explained the practical knowledge that a Muslim will need in his daily life. In this study, we will try to reveal Lütfi Pasha's work titled "Risale-i Sual ve Cevab" (Question and Answer catechism). This work of Lütfi Pasha is also written in a very simple style, such as the other two works "Tevârih-i Âl-i Osman" and "Asaf-nama", in a language that the public will understand.
