However, studies based on the relationship between economic growth and youth unemployment which is approximately twice the adult unemployment rate are relatively limited. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between young men and young women unemployment and economis growth in Turkey. İn the study, firstly, youth unemployment is tried to be explained conceptually and belonging to young unemployed people in Turkey as gender, age group, education level information is presented. Then, the relationship between young female and young male unemployment rates and economic growth between 1991-2019 was analyzed with the Eviews 10 program with help of the Toda Yamamoto (1995) causality test using annual data. As a result of the analysis, no casuality relationship could be determined between the youth unemployment rates and economic growth. İn addition, although a relationship from the economic growth to young male unemloyment rates has not been determined, it is among the results obtained in the study that the change in young male unemployment rates is effective on economic growth rates.
