Abstract


SEYITOMER MOUND MİDDLE BRONZE AGE ANGLE FORMAT SPİNDLE WHORLS

Seyitömer is a town located in Kütahya and approximately 30 km from the center. Seyitömer Höyük is located to the northwest of this town. The archeology department of the Kütahya Dumlupınar University continued the excavation in this mound for nine years. As a result of the excavations, thousands of finds have been brought to the surface to help clarify the dates of Anatolia. Among these finds are found in wheel-shaped objects in the middle of the hole, often called terra cotta spindles, used to produce rope in ancient times. The subject of this study is Seyitömer Höyük Group of spindle whorls which are decorated with angular shape made on the spindle whorls dating to the M.B.A. In the study, the drawings, location, dimensions and definitions of the angle-shaped spindle whorls of Seyitömer Höyük were added as catalogs. The aim of the study is to add this literature to the literature which is important for archaeological research.
