Abstract


AN INVESTIGATION OF THE SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION LEVELS TOWARDS PLAY, DANCE AND MUSIC LESSONS

In this study, it is aimed to investigate the motivation levels of the students studying at the School of Physical Education and Sports of Adıyaman University towards play, dance and music lessons in terms of some variables. A total of 185 students, 125 boys and 60 girls from Adıyaman University, School of Physical Education and Sports, participated in the study in 2017-2018 academic year. As data collection tool ‘’Motivation Scale for Play Dance and Music Lessons’’ ‘developed by Özevin (2006) and ‘’Personal Information Form“ created by the researcher were used in the study. As a result of the analysis of the obtained data, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the motivation levels of the students of Adıyaman University School of Physical Education and Sports towards play,dance and music lessons and the variables of gender and lessons learned. In addition, a significant difference was found between the motivation levels of students towards play,dance and music lessons and age and department variables.
