For this reason, world countries with tourism potential especially attach importance to international tourism activities and aim to increase their welfare levels by accelerating their economic development. In this study, the relationships between tourism revenues and economic growth in Turkey for the 1963-2018 period were analyzed by cointegration and causality method. The cointegration analysis revealed the finding that tourism revenues are an important cause of economic growth in the long run. The causality analysis results, on the other hand, showed that there was bidirectional causality between the two variables at a significance level of 0.10.
