Abstract
Araştırmanın konusu; hazır ve atık nesnelerin seramik sanatında nasıl kullanıldığını irdelemektir. Bunun yanında hazır nesnelerin estetik bir değer olarak mı yoksa bir fikri temsil etmek için mi ele alındıklarını araştırmaktır. Hazır nesneler ve atık nesnelerin seramik sanatındaki oluşumları; araştırmanın kapsam ve sınırlılıklarını oluşturur. Ayrıca konuya ilişkin açıklık getirmek için; Marcel Duchamp, Zhou Wendou, Clare Twomey, Yee Sookying ve Bouke de Vries gibi sanatçılar örnek olarak seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın problemleri şu şekildedir: Hazır nesne nedir? Hazır nesnenin seramik sanatındaki uygulamaları nelerdir? Atık nesne ve hazır nesneleri kavramsal bir yapıya dönüştüren sanatçılar kimlerdir? Marcel Duchamp’ın postmodern sürece ne gibi etkisi olmuştur? Bu soruların cevaplarıyla birlikte seramik sanatında değişimi ve gelişimi tetikleyen unsurların neler olduğu ortaya çıkacağı düşünülmektedir.

Abstract
The aim of the research; to examine how ready-made and waste objects are used in ceramic art. In addition, it is to investigate whether ready-made objects are considered as an aesthetic value or to represent an idea. Formation of ready-made objects and waste objects in ceramic art; constitutes the scope and limitations of the research. In addition, to clarify the subject; Artists such as Marcel Duchamp, Zhou Wendou, Clare Twomey, Yee Sookying and Bouke de Vries were chosen as examples. The problems of the research are as follows: What is a ready-made object? What are the applications of ready-made objects in ceramic art? Who are the artists who transform waste and ready-made objects into a conceptual structure? What impact did Marcel Duchamp have on the postmodern process? It is thought that with the answers to these questions, the factors that trigger the change and development in the art of ceramics will be revealed.
