Abstract
Çizgi roman’ın popüler kültürde önemi son yıllarda gittikçe popülerleşirken, Belçikalı çizer Herge’nin Tenten’i bugün 80 yılı aşmıştır. Bu kadar köklü bir tarihe sahip olmasının yanında Tenten kendi tarzı ile çizgi roman tarihinde polisiye, mizah, bilim kurgu, gibi birçok temayı barındırarak 3 ana koldan birinin temsili ve öncüsüdür. Tenten çizgi romanlarının daha önceki çalışmalarda sahip olduğu anlatımlarda, çeşitli ırkçı tutumlara sahip olduğuna dair araştırmalar yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmalar Tenten çzigi romanlarında yer alan karakterler ve hikayelere odaklanmıştır. Bu çalışama da ise Tenten çizgi romanlarından Tenten Amerika’da ve Tenten Kongo’da çizgi romanları incelenirken, ırkçı tutumunun genel bakış açısı incelenirken, aynı anda bu tutumun mekânsal ve tasarımsal etkileri gözetilerek yapılacaktır.

Abstract
While the importance of the comic book in popular culture has become increasingly popular in recent years, the Belgian illustrator Herge's Tintin is more than 80 years old today. In addition to having such a deep-rooted history, Tintin is the representation and pioneer of one of the three main branches in the history of comics with his own style, including many themes such as detective, humor and science fiction. Studies have been conducted to show that Tintin comics have various racist attitudes, based on their previous expressions. These researches focused on the characters and stories in Tintin novels. In this study, while examining Tintin comic books in Tintin America and Tintin Congo, the general perspective of his racist attitude will be examined, while simultaneously considering the spatial and design effects of this attitude.
