Abstract
Yaşamın önemli üç evresinden biri olan evlenme, yaşanmışlığı geride bırakarak yeni bir eşiğe katılmaktır. Evlenme, toplumlara göre belli bir düzen çerçevesinde görenek ve ritüelleri ile yapılmaktadır. Arapgir, tarihî ve kültürel zenginliğinin yanı sıra tabiat ile de dikkat çekmektedir. Arapgir düğün törenlerinde uygulanan ve uygulanmayan değerler incelenip sonraki kuşaklara aktarılması çalışma konusudur. Kaybolmaya yüz tutmuş, düğün törenlerinin sözlü ve tatbikî yönleri araştırıldı. Arapgir düğününde devam eden gelenekler, değişiklikler ve yeni uygulamalar üzerinde duruldu. Düğün âdetleri zamana göre veya yeni uygulamalar ile değişikliğe uğramaktadır. Gelenekler şartlar karşısında terk edilmekte ya da uygulaması günümüze uyarlanmaktadır. Arapgir’deki düğünler, geleneksel olarak görülmekteyse bazı uygulamalar ile de günümüz düğünlerine dönüşmektedir. Ev (bahçe) düğünleri devam etmekteyse de salonda yapılan düğünler gittikçe artmaktadır. Kına gecesi ev veya salonda yapılabilmektedir. Düğünün bir bölümü olan “Kebap Gecesi” bahçede yapılmakta, düğün ertesi gün salondaki tören ile devam etmektedir. Düğün, salonda yapıldığı gibi salon ve evde birlikte yapılanı da görmek mümkündür. Bazı ritüellerin kaynağı Orta Asya Türk Dünyası ile bağlantılı görülmektedir. Bölgeye ait özellikler taşıdığı gibi Anadolu düğün gelenekleri ile benzer tarafları da mevcuttur. Düğünlerde müzik, eğlence, ziyafet ve misafir ağırlama önemini korumaktadır. Köy düğünleri, ayrı bir başlıkta inceleme yoluna gidildi. Düğünde oyun ve enstrümanlar farklı kültür unsurunu gösterse de Arapgir düğünlerinde ahenkli bir biçimde bir arada kaynaşmıştır. Ailenin kurulmasında geçiş eşiği evlenme, düğün töreni ile unutulmaz hâle getirilmektedir. Düğün, aynı zamanda evlenecek gençlerin bu mutluluğunu topluma ilanı ve desteğini beklediği gelenektir.

One of the three important stages of life, marriage is to leave the experience behind and join a new threshold. Marriage is carried out with custom and rituals within the framework of a certain order according to societies. Arapgir attracts attention with its historical and cultural richness as well as nature. The subject of study is to examine the values that are applied and not applied in Arapgir wedding ceremonies and transfer them to the next generations. The verbal and practical aspects of wedding ceremonies, which are on the verge of disappearing, were investigated. Continuing traditions, changes and new practices in Arapgir wedding are emphasized. Wedding customs are changing according to time or with new practices. Traditions are abandoned due to circumstances or their practice is adapted to the present. While the weddings in Arapgir are seen as traditional, they turn into today's weddings with some practices. Although home (garden) weddings continue, the number of weddings held in the hall is increasing. Henna night can be done at home or in the salon. Part of the wedding, the “Kebab Night”, is held in the garden, and the wedding continues the next day with the ceremony in the hall. It is possible to see the wedding is held in the hall, as well as the one that is held together in the hall and at home.The origin of some rituals seems to be connected with the Turkic World of Central Asia. As well as having regional features, it also has similarities with Anatolian wedding traditions. Music, entertainment, banquets and guest hospitality at weddings remain important. Village weddings were examined in a separate title. Although the dance and instruments at the wedding show different cultural elements, they are harmoniously fused together in Arapgir weddings. In the establishment of the family, the threshold of transition is made unforgettable by the wedding ceremony. The wedding is also a tradition in which young people who are going to get married are waiting for their happiness to be announced to the community and their support.
