Abstract
Niğde ili Kemerhisar kasabasına ait halıların ilmelik iplikleri yöreye ait boyama yöntemleriyle renklendirilerek dokunmuştur. Doğal boyama yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı yörede değişen yaşam şartları ve sanayileşme ile birlikte doğal boyalarla birlikte analin boyalar kullanılmıştır. Yörede doğal boyacılığın aktif bir şekilde devam ettiği dönemde bitki örtüsünün sunduğu imkanlardan faydalanılarak, halı iplikleri renklendirilmiş, genellikle kök boya, asma yaprağı, ceviz, soğan kabuğu, cehri ve elma gibi bitkiler kullanılmıştır. Halı üretiminde önemli yere sahip renklendirme işlemleri halı kalitesini etkileyen en önemli faktörlerden birisidir. Turistik açıdan da iç ve dış pazarda halıların beğeni ve değer kazanmasında halı üretimde kullanılan renkler büyük önem taşımaktadır. Niğde Kemerhisar halı dokumaları da yöreye özgü karakteristik renklere sahiptir. Bu çalışmada Niğde ili Kemerhisar kasabasında halı dokumada kullanılan ilmelik halı iplikleri incelenmiştir. İplikler alan araştırması sonucu yöre halkından temin edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda yörede boyanmış ilmelik halı ipliklerinin ışık, sürtünme ve su damlası haslıkları incelenerek, renkler objektif olarak değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract
The loop threads of the carpets belonging to Kemerhisar town of Niğde province are colored and woven with the dyeing methods of the region. With the changing living conditions and industrialization in the region where natural dyeing methods are used, natural dyes and analine dyes have been used together. In the period when natural dyeing continued actively in the region, the carpet threads were colored by making use of natural dyeing method. Generally, plants such as madder, vine leave, walnut, onionskin, dyre’s rocket and apple are used in the region. Coloring process which have importantence in carpet production are one of the most important factors affecting carpet quality. In terms of tourism, the colors used in carpet production are of great importance in the appreciation and value of carpets in the domestic and foreign markets. Niğde Kemerhisar carpet weaving also has characteristic colors specific to the region. In this study, the loop threads used in carpet weaving in Kemerhisar town of Niğde province is obtained from the local people as a result of the field research. In line with the data, natural dyeing methods, light, friction and water drop fastnesses in the region were examined. Wool carpet threads belonging to the town were evaluated objectively. .
