Abstract
Allah’ın sıfatları meselesi, İslâm tarihinin ilk döneminden itibaren tartışma konusu yapılmış, en önemli meselelerden bir tanesidir. Allah’ın sıfatlarıyla ilgili kelâm etmeyen hemen hiçbir kelami mezhep bulunmamaktadır. Her mezhep kendi metoduna göre bu sıfatları yorumlamış, binaenaleyh konu etrafında farklı yorumlar ortaya çıkmıştır. İlk bakışta Allah’ın insanî özellikler taşıdığını düşündürten haberi sıfatlar, Allah’ın sıfatlarıyla ilgili tartışma konusu yapılan ilk meselelerdendir. Haberî sıfatlar hakkında ilk dönem ulemâ yorum yapmaktan kaçınmaktaydı. Fakat bu tarz sıfatları yorumlamada aşırıya giden ve taşıdıkları insanî hususiyetleri Allah’a nispet eden görüşlerin ortaya çıkmasıyla bu sıfatların İslâmî bir bakışla tevil edilmeleri zarureti hâsıl olmuştur. Ehl-i Sünnet ulemâ burada devreye girmiş ve söz konusu sıfatları Kuran, sünnet ve aklî ilkeler ışığında yorumlamışlardır. Böylece aşırı yorumların önüne geçilmiş ve insanların yanlış itikadi yönelimlere maruz kalmalarının önüne set çekilmiştir. Makalede Eş’ariler ve Matüridiler olmak üzere Ehl-i Sünnet kelamcıların söz konusu sıfatlara ne gibi yorumlar getirdiklerini ve bu yorumların istinat ettiği delilleri kronolojik bir şekilde incelenecektir.

Abstract
The issue of the attributes of Allah (as-sifat Allah) is one of the most important issues that has been discussed since the first period of Islamic history. There is almost no mazhab kalam that does not speak about the attributes of Allah. Each sect (mazhab) interpreted these attributes according to their own method, thus different interpretations emerged around the subject. Akhbar as-sifat, which make us think that Allah has human characteristics at first glance, is one of the first issues that are discussed about as-sifat Allah. The early scholars avoided commenting on akhbar as-sifat. However, with the emergence of opinions that go to extremes in interpreting such attributes and attribute their human characteristics to Allah, it has become necessary to interpret these attributes with an Islamic perspective. Ahl as-Sunnah scholars intervened here and interpreted these attributes in the light of the Qur'an, Sunnah and rational principles. Thus, excessive interpretations were prevented and people were diverted from wrong orientations threatening their creed (etiqad). In the article, what kind of interpretations the Ahl as-Sunnah theologians, including Ash'aris and Maturidis, brought to these attributes and the evidences on which these interpretations are based will be examined chronologically.
