Abstract
Her türlü insan etkinliği hiç kuşkusuz bir mekânda (space), coğrafyada oluşur. Siyasal etkinlikler de coğrafyadan bağımsız değildir. Coğrafya, bir bölgedeki siyasal etkinliklerin sınırını belirlerken, siyasal etkinlikler de bölgesel anlamda bir coğrafyadaki üst yapı kurumlarını şekillendirir. Bu anlamda siyaset sosyolojisi, siyasal etkinliklerin; olaylar, olgular, ilişkiler, gruplar ve kurumların yapısını, bir başka deyişle bütün bunların anatomisini inceler. Coğrafya bilimi, tüm siyasal etkinlikleri belli bir mekân üzerinde analiz ederek inceler. Coğrafi koşulların rolü, siyasal kararların coğrafyaya etkileri ve sonuçları hem siyaset sosyolojisi hem de kültürel coğrafyanın önemli bir alanı siyaset coğrafyası için önemlidir.
Bu makalede 1930’lu yıllarda Çukurova ve Toroslarda egemen olan siyasal yapının Yaşar Kemal’in İnce Memed romanları üzerinden analiz edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Siyaset sosyolojisi ve siyaset coğrafyası okumalarına katkı sağlamasını düşündüğümüz bu çalışma, aynı zamanda hem sosyolojik hem de coğrafya temelli bir edebiyat okumasıdır. Araştırmada, İnce Memed romanlarında konu edinilen siyaset sosyolojisi temalı; siyasal şiddet, irtica, jakobenizm, feminizm gibi kavramlar siyaset ve coğrafya açısından çözümlenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Çalışma aynı zamanda edebiyat sosyolojisi açısından eleştirel okuma niteliğindedir. Siyaset, siyasal topluluklar ve coğrafya arasındaki ilişkiler mekânsal bağlam üzerinden analiz edilmiştir.

Abstract
All kinds of human activities undoubtedly occur in a space, geography. Political activities are also not independent of geography. While geography determines the boundaries of political activities in a region, political activities shape the superstructure institutions in a geography in the regional sense. In this sense, political sociology, political activities; It examines the structure of events, facts, relationships, groups and institutions, in other words, the anatomy of all these. The science of geography analyzes all political activities on a certain place. The role of geographical conditions, the effects and consequences of political decisions on geography are important for both political sociology and political geography, an important area of cultural geography.
In this article, it is aimed to analyze the political structure that dominated Çukurova and the Taurus Mountains in the 1930s through Yaşar Kemal's İnce Memed novels. This study, which we think will contribute to political sociology and political geography readings, is also a sociological and geography-based literature reading. In the research, the theme of political sociology, which is the subject of İnce Memed novels; Concepts such as political violence, reactionaryism, Jacobinism, and feminism have been analyzed and interpreted in terms of politics and geography. The study is also a critical reading in terms of literary sociology. The relations between politics, political communities and geography are analyzed through spatial context.
