Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; destek eğitim odalarının işleyişinin okul rehber öğretmenlerinin gözünden belirlemek ve uygulamanın aksayan yönlerine okul rehber öğretmenlerinden çözüm önerisi sunmasını sağlamaktır. Çalışmamızda Samsun ilinin 4 merkez ilçesi olan İlkadım, Atukum, Canik ve Tekkeköyden 9 rehber öğretmen katılmıştır. Rehber öğretmenlerin seçiminde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi kullanımmış olup, konunun detaylı incelenmesi amaçlandığından bir nitel araştırma yöntemi olan durum araştırması yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. |
Araştırmamızın sonucunda destek odasında eğitim alan öğrencilerin akademik yönden kendilerini geliştirdiği ve uygulamanın genel olarak öğrenciye fayda sağladığı anlaşılmıştır. Bu yararının yanında destek eğitim odalarının yeterli fiziksel ve donanımsal yapıya sahip olmadığı, destek eğitim odalarında gerekli eğitimi almış öğretmenlerin görev almadığı ve genel sınıflardan destek eğitim odasına alınan öğrencilerin bu sınıflardaki derslerine katılamadığı okul rehber öğretmenleri tarafından sorun olarka tespit edilmiştir. Okul rehber öğretmenleri, destek eğitim odalarında görev alan herkesin gerekli eğitimi alması, özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin bu odalarla ilgili görevlendirilmesi, destek eğitim odalarının gerekli fiziksel ve donanımsal özelliklere kavuşturulması ve destek eğitim odası eğitimlerinin genel sınıflardaki ders saatleri dışında verilmesi halinde sorunların çözüleceğini belirtmişlerdir.

The purpose of this research is to determine the functioning of resource room application according to school counselors and and to provide solutions from school counselors to these faulty aspects by identifying the faulty aspects of the application. 9 school counselors from İlkadım, Atakum, Canik and Tekkeköy, which are 4 central districts of Samsun province, have participated in our study. Purposive sampling method has been used to select the school counselors and the case study method, which is a qualitative research method, has been preferred since it has been aimed to examine the subject in depth. |
As a result of our research, it has been understood that the students who have been educated in the resource room have improved themselves academically and the application has generally been benefited the students. In spite of this benefit, the school counselors have mentioned the problems such as the resource rooms not having sufficient physical structure and equipment, the fact that the teachers who have received the necessary training do not take part in the resource room application, and the fact that the students who are taken from their own class and taken to the resource room cannot attend the lessons in their own class. The school counselors have suggested some solutions to these problems, such as giving the necessary training for everyone involved in these rooms, assigning special education teachers to these rooms, providing the necessary physical and hardware features for the resource rooms, and giving the resource room training after the lessons at schools.
