Abstract
Bu makalemizde, Suriye Selçuklu hükümdârı Tutuş’un ( 1062 – 1095 ) dönemi ve faaliyetleri incelenmiştir. Selçukoğullarının bu önemli şahsiyetinin hayatını ve faaliyetlerini; Suriye ve Filistin’de hâkimiyeti ele geçirip kuvvetlendirdiği ‘’ Meliklik dönemi ‘’ ve Büyük Selçuklu tahtını elde etmek amacıyla giriştiği ‘’ Saltanat mücâdelesi dönemi ‘’ olmak üzere iki kısımda incelemek mümkündür. Amacımız, Tutuş’un oldukça yoğun siyasî faaliyetlerini, dönemin gelişmeleri bağlamında ve Tutuş’un tarihî şahsiyetini de ortaya koyacak şekilde anlamaya çalışmaktır.

Abstract
In this article, the period and activities of the Syrian Seljuk ruler Tutuş (1062 – 1095) are examined. The life and activities of this important personality of the Seljuks; It is possible to examine it in two parts: the "Malelik period", which he seized and strengthened the dominance in Syria and Palestine, and the "Sultanate struggle period", which he embarked on to obtain the throne of the Great Seljuks. Our aim is to try to understand the intense political activities of Tutuş in the context of the developments of the period and in a way that reveals the historical personality of Tutuş.
