Abstract
Turizm bir ülkenin iktisadi ve sosyo-kültürel alanlarda getiri sağlayan başlıca hizmet sektörlerinden biridir. Bu yüzden turizm potansiyeli olan dünya ülkeleri özellikle uluslararası turizm faaliyetlerine önem vererek, ekonomik gelişmelerini hızlandırarak refah düzeylerini yükseltmeyi hedeflerler. Bu çalışmada 1963-2018 dönemine ilişkin Türkiye’de turizm gelirleri ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki kısa ve uzun dönemli ilişkiler araştırılmıştır. Eşbütünleşme analizi turizm gelirlerinin ekonomik büyümenin önemli bir nedeni olduğu bulgusunu ortaya koyarken nedensellik analizi sonuçları ise iki değişken arasında 0.10 anlamlılık seviyesinde çift yönlü bir nedenselliğin olduğunu göstermiştir.

Abstract
Tourism is one of the main service sectors of a country that provides income in economic and socio-cultural fields. For this reason, world countries with tourism potential especially attach importance to international tourism activities and aim to increase their welfare levels by accelerating their economic development. In this study, the relationships between tourism revenues and economic growth in Turkey for the 1963-2018 period were analyzed by cointegration and causality method. The cointegration analysis revealed the finding that tourism revenues are an important cause of economic growth in the long run. The causality analysis results, on the other hand, showed that there was bidirectional causality between the two variables at a significance level of 0.10.
