Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, İngilizce öğretmenlerinin mükemmeliyetçiliklerinin çeşitli değişkenlere (cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, öğrenim düzeyi, çalışılan kurum, mezun olunan okul türü) göre incelemektir. Bu nedenle araştırma betimsel nitelikli nedensel karşılaştırma araştırmasıdır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2021–2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Zonguldak il geneli ve ilçelerinde bulunan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na(MEB) bağlı resmi ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim kurumlarında görev yapan 611 İngilizce öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise 450 İngilizce öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, evrenin %73,6’sını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla “Kişisel Bilgiler Formu” ve “Çok Boyutlu Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada İngilizce öğretmenlerinin mükemmeliyetçiliklerinin belirlenmesi için frekans (f), yüzde (%), aritmetik ortalama (x̄) ve standart sapma (SS) kullanılmıştır. Nedensel karşılaştırma deseni için gruplar arası ortalamaların karşılaştırılmasında hangi istatistiklerin kullanacağını belirlemek amacıyla puan dağılımları incelenmiştir. Kolmogrov-Smirnov testi, çarpıklık ve basıklık katsayıları incelendiğinde puan dağılımların normal dağılım sergilediği görülmektedir. Bundan dolayı İngilizce öğretmenlerinin mükemmeliyetçiliklerini belirlenen demografik özelliklere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek için iki grup ortalamalarının karşılaştırılmasında bağımsız gruplar için t testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda İngilizce öğretmenlerinin mükemmeliyetçilik boyutunda kararsız olduğu, cinsiyet ve çalışılan kurum değişkenlerine göre bir fark olmadığı, mesleki kıdem, mezun olunan okul türü, öğrenim düzeyi değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu sonuçları bulunmuştur.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the perfectionalism of English teachers in terms of various variables (gender, professional seniority, education level, institution of work, type of graduated school). For this reason, this is a descriptive causal comparison research. The population of the research consists of 611 English teachers working in the official primary and secondary education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education (MEB) in the province and districts of Zonguldak in the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample group of the study consists of 450 English teachers. The sample group of the research consists 73,6% of the population. To collect data in the research, “Personal Information Form” and “Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale” were used as the data collection instrument. In the study, to analyse the professional self-efficacy perceptions of English teachers, frequency (f), percentage (%), arithmetic mean (x̄) and standard deviation (SD) were used. For the causal comparison design, to compare the means between groups, score distributions were examined in order to determine which statistics should be used. It is seen that the score distributions exhibit normal distribution when Kolmogrow-Smirnov test, Skewness and Kurtosis Coefficients are examined. For this reason, in order to determine whether the perfectionalism of English teachers differ according to the determined demographic characteristics, t-test for independent groups and one-way analysis of variance were used to compare the means of two groups. As a result of the research, it was found that English teachers are uncertain about their perfectionalism. There are differences according to the gender and institution variables. There are significant differences according to the variables of professional seniority, education level and graduated school.
