Abstract
Sporun mekânsallaştrılmasının kent tarihi içinde geçirdiği evreler, bugünkü tesislerin dağılımına yön veren yasal ve yönetsel süreçlere dair fikir vermektedir. Spor ve ilgili donatı alanları kent mekânında belirli amaç, hedef ve stratejiler neticesinde yer almaktadırlar. Bu türdeki donatıyı üreten politika ve planların belirli bir tarih aralığında incelenip, İstanbul özelinde bu planlama sürecinin değerlendirilmesi bu makalenin izleğini oluşturmaktadır. Spor tesislerinin kent mekânında üretimini sağlayan süreçler; aktörler, politikalar, yasalar ve yönetmelikler üzerinden irdelenmiştir. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’ndan başlatılan dönemsel analiz, günümüzde spor ve ilgili donatılara dair üretilen politikaları kapsar niteliktedir. Ardından İstanbul’un geçirdiği planlama deneyimleri spor ve ilgili donatıları özelinde incelenmiştir.

Abstract
The phases of the spatialization of sports in the history of the city give an idea about the legal and administrative processes that shape the distribution of today's facilities. Sports and related equipment areas are located in the urban space as a result of certain goals, objectives and strategies. Examining the policies and plans that produce this type of equipment in a certain date range and evaluating this planning process in Istanbul constitutes the theme of this article. Processes that enable the production of sports facilities in urban space; actors, policies, laws and regulations. The periodical analysis initiated from the Ottoman Empire covers the policies produced today regarding sports and related equipment. Then, the planning experiences of Istanbul were examined in terms of sports and related equipment.
